Build failure notifications
When your site’s build fails, it can be critical to know this right away
so you can fix the issue quickly. That’s why statichost.eu
supports email
notifications on build failures. You can configure specific email addresses to
be notified immediately when a build fails, ensuring your team stays on top of
important updates and site stability.
Configure notification recipients
To add or remove email addresses for build failure notifications:
- Log in to the dashboard.
- Go to the site you want to configure notifications for.
- In the left-hand menu, click Settings.
- Under Build notifications, add or remove the email addresses as desired.
- Click Save.
That’s it! Now, whenever a build fails, an email will be sent to all the addresses you listed.
Default notifications for new sites
Starting February 2025, all newly created sites have email notifications configured by default. This means:
- All team members on the site automatically receive build failure emails unless you remove them from the list.
- You can still edit the recipient list at any time to add non-team-member addresses or remove certain team members.
Frequently asked questions
Will I get notifications for successful builds?
No. At the moment, we only send notifications on failed builds. We realize some users prefer to be notified on all builds. If you want finer control or need success notifications, feel free to contact us with your request. We love to hear customer feedback.
Are there other notification options other than email?
Not at the moment. We’re evaluating other notification channels, such as webhooks. Please let us know if you have a specific type of notification you’d like to see implemented.
Are these notifications free?
Yes! Build failure notifications are included with all our plans at no extra charge. If you’re on a free tier, you still receive them.
Can I disable notifications?
If you don’t want to receive any build failure notifications, simply remove all the email addresses in Settings → Build failure notifications. Going forward, no email alert will be sent if a build fails.
Where do I see the build logs?
You can find the full logs for each build in the dashboard by going to Builds. The log helps you diagnose why a build failed.
If you have any questions about build failure notifications or want to see more notification options, please let us know! We’re always here to help your team stay informed and keep your site running smoothly.
